Team Rules

These are mainly for the players, but I hope that the parents also bear these rules in mind as they attend games.

  • Be an honorable representative of our community: Twin Valley South. Win with class, lose with class. No cheapshots, throwing helmets, cursing, or trash talking. Don't ride the referee's or opposing players. Players who fail to observe this guideline will be pulled out of a game for as least one play or more and spoken to by one of the coaches. Let's also find a referee and hand the football to him after a touchdown - act like we have been there before.
  • Discipline - time outs (sit down for 10,15 or so minutes), bear crawls, sprints, "fumble jacks". No fighting, cursing, throwing helmets, etc.
  • Thirty minutes before game time - Whether home or away be on site 30 minutes b-4 game time.
  • Broken bones/bad sprains - must have release from doctor allowing the child to play.
  • Grades - No F's allowed, only 1 D allowed. Min. 1 week suspension, can only participate if the teacher shows that there has been meaningful progress.
  • Varsity water boy - Each team will select two players to be water boys for the varsity each week. This is an honor and boys have to earn it. Be there 45 minutes before kickoff. At 30 minutes before game time they will be allowed into the varsity locker. Players need to stay behind the bench for their protection except when taking water onto the field during a timeout or change of quarter. If you know that you cannot attend the game or do not want your child to participate, let the coach know so that an alternative player can be found.
